THE PLOT
Get ready to enter the world of magic, this time, the progeny of world’s most famous wizard Harry Potter is the main character in the plot. Albus Severus Potter is haunted by the fame of his father, now head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and felt like he could never live up to his potential. What’s worse is that when he arrived in Hogwarts, the Sorting Hat assigned him to Slytherin, a house that was filled with his father’s former nemeses. Now, Albus has to deal with stark contrasts from his father’s experience, including befriending a boy named Malfoy. THE CREATIVE TEAM AND CAST
The play was written by Jack Thorne, based on the original story written by Harry Potter authors J.K. Rowling, Thorne, and John Tiffany with music from Imogen Heap. The production, with direction from Tiffany, premiered in London in 2016. The play features the incredible work of talented creative minds like Christine Jones for set design, Katrina Lindsay on costume, and Neil Austin on lighting design. The production also features work from sound designer Gareth Fry, illusions and magic designer Jamie Harrison, and video designers Finn Ross and Ashwoodward.

It has also earned many prestigious accolades, including three Critic’s Circle Theatre Awards, eight What’s Onstage Awards, and nine Laurence Olivier Awards. This 2025, the multi award-winning play will finally jump on its first North American Tour. The show will conquer 11 major cities, including Columbus Ohio, where it wil light up the Ohio Theatre in Columbus. From October 12 to 26, the production will deliver 16 performances.
