Mrs. Doubtfire the musical is a project spearheaded by screenwriter Karey Kirkpatrick and songwriter Wayne Kirkpatrick. Together, they created the original music and lyrics for the stage adaptation. Meanwhile, the storyline was created by Karey Kirkpatrick with John O’Farrell. Besides the main creatives, the production brought in numerous talented industry experts: director Jerry Zaks, choreographer Lorin Latarro, music arranger and supervisor Ethan Popp, scenic designer David Korins, and costume designer Catherine Zuber. The Broadway performance had over 80 shows in total. In 2022, the musical opened in London, followed by a U.S. tour in 2023.
