The musicians, under the direction of conductor Peter Stafford Wilson, are flawless in their performance of Sergei Prokofiev's score,” Broadway world reviews. The article adds that even before the curtain lifts to reveal the opening scene, “the ensemble's full-bodied sound flows out of the orchestra pit and fills the air with a palpable excitement.”
